The Forestias by MQDC, a leading Thai developer, held “The Vibrant Forestias: Sook-San Songkran” to bring joy and connect communities. The festival in the forest at The Forestias continued the district’s role as a Happiness Destination, welcoming families for wonderful times together at all the year’s key festivals.

The Forestias celebrated Thailand’s traditional New Year and Family Day at a magical Songkran event on 12-15 April 2024. Families had fun in the heart of nature in the shade of the 12-acre forest at The Forestias. A theme of Thai pop culture united a host of wonderful experiences. Attendees bathed Buddha statues for good fortune at Thai New Year. Great times continued with a temple fair and games booths. A procession, dancing, and traditional Thai games delighted young people while sharing Thailand’s traditions. Wan Thanakrit, Nong Meera and Nong Panwa gave a concert. A market completed the fun with stalls to shop for great products or tasty dishes and desserts.

The Forestias reinforced its status as a “Happiness Destination” not only for Thais but also the global “Pudgy Penguins” community. The holders of these non-fungible tokens (NFTs) met for the first time in Thailand at the Pudgy Songkran networking party at The Forestias. Holders from over 10 countries joined Asia’s largest Pudgy Penguins gathering.

Pudgy Thailand joined with Pudgy Asia for Pudgy Songkran, the community’s first Songkran event in Thailand. Members came from around the world to learn about Thai culture. The event also welcomed the global blockchain community through a collaboration with Mittaria to present Thailand’s traditions.

This year's Songkran is also the first since UNESCO’s inclusion of "Songkran in Thailand" on the “Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity” on 6 December 2023.

“The Vibrant Forestias 2024: Sook-San Songkran” at The Forestias by MQDC continued the success of the forest district’s previous festivals. The event won excellent feedback from over 10,000 attendees. Delighted participants look forward to the next festival at The Forestias.
