Former ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion Petchtanong Petchfergus makes his long-awaited march back into action at ONE Fight Night 23: Buntan v Meksen on July 6.
The Thai superstar faces fellow former divisional king and third-ranked contender Alaverdi Ramazanov in a high-stakes bantamweight kickboxing showdown at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium.
Petchtanong returns for the first time since 2022, where he defeated Hiroki Akimoto over five pulsating rounds to become ONE's bantamweight kickboxing king.
Unfortunately, the 38-year-old was subsequently stripped of the belt and suspended for failing an out-of-competition drug test.
Now cleared and ready to get back to work, he no doubt aims to return to the top of the bantamweight kickboxing mountain.
Ramazanov, on the other hand, is also a former champ with a point to prove.
"Babyface Killer" reigned as the ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion from 2019 until he lost the belt in 2021.
He then reeled off two straight wins under Muay Thai rules to earn a crack at Nong-O Hama's ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title, but he came up short.
Ramazanov then returned to the win column with a crushing first-round knockout win over Italy's Alessandro Sara in Muay Thai in September.
Returning to his kickboxing roots, Ramazanov now has a huge opportunity against a big player in the division as Petchtanong remains a threat under the ONE banner.
