The Bayer Young Environmental Envoy Programme invites eligible high school and university students aged 15-25 years to enter the "Bayer Young Environmental Envoy (BYEE) Competition 2008" to vie for an educational trip to Germany.
Held in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the programme aims to enhance the roles of Thai youths in environmental protection, as well as to provide them with an opportunity to learn the inter-relationship between environment and development on both national and international perspectives.
This year, the competition focuses on four main topics - Sustainable Consumption, Creating Pride in Environmental Protection in the Community/Province, Fostering Public Awareness, and Current Environmental Issues.
Fifty successful candidates will be appointed Bayer Young Environmental Envoys and the best five envoys will represent Thailand on a one-week study trip to Germany, including a visit to Bayer's headquarters and other government agencies in November together with counterparts from 16 countries worldwide.
The five winners will also be individually awarded funding of 15,000 baht in order to carry out the winning projects in their communities.
A completed application form along with the environmental project should be submitted by July 31. For more information and application forms, please call 02-651-9877 or visit http://www.bayeryoungenvoy.com.
