The Fiange boutique features unique love-themed handbags
Listen up, Bangkok girls! If you love to accessorise yourselves uniquely, the recently opened Fiange Boutique on Thong Lor Soi 20, is where to go.
Patcharalak ''Lady'' Tavedikul, the owner and designer of Fiange, revealed that her brand's name is derived from a French word meaning ''angel''. And the dreamy, fairy-tale inspired theme is reflected in each product and in the overall ambience of the store.
Set on Bangkok's hip strip, the fashion store offers a selection of clothes, jewellery and accessories, including the signature product handbag made of ostrich eggs.
The meticulous making of these glitz and glam handbags is a fine craft. After the cleaning process, the ostrich eggshell is then coloured and later decorated with Swarovski crystals and fabrics in different patterns and designs. However, animal lovers should not be concerned as only naturally unfertilised eggs are utilised, which mean no ostrich lives were taken away in the production of the extraordinary handbags.
Using her artistic background, Patcharalak created the first collection of ostrich eggs handbags under the concept of Miracle of Love. It is comprised of four lovely product lines with a heart shape as the central motif of the collection.
The Soul Mate bag is the highlighted and the most sophisticated design. To produce one of the hearted shape handbags, two eggshells are needed, both of which must be perfectly symmetrical to form a heart shape. Patcharalak explains that you might find two out of 500 eggs: ''It is indeed as hard to find as a soul mate!'' she laughs.
With two glittering heart patterns, the Together Forever design represents love and care of two hearts, while Secret Love is a handbag with no visible heart shape design on the outside, but hidden inside is the pattern only visible when the bag is open.
The last piece of the collection is called Classic Love. Designed in black and white, this one is inspired by the idea of everlasting love.
