Leo Burnett recently organised its 13th Leo Burnett Cannes Predictions 2008 in conjunction with the Bangkok Post at House RCA in order to promote the 55th Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival, which took place late June. The Leo Burnett Cannes Predictions was first held in 1986. The event brought together over 50 top advertising campaigns to show to members of the local media and advertising industry as well as advertising students and press.
Guests were also invited to test their skill at spotting winners by predicting which one would walk away with the Cannes Lion award. Executives discussed trends for the future, touted to be a "People Era" as opposed to the "Brand Era" and "Idea Era" of the 1980s and 1990s. From now on businesses will grow with the support of advertising campaigns that are people-centric.
