For big family groups looking for a home away from home, Laguna Phuket Holiday Residences could be the answer. Operated on a time-sharing basis, this resort is the newest addition to the Laguna Phuket complex which already boasts five top-class hotels: the Banyan Tree, Sheraton Grande, Dusit Laguna Resort, Laguna Beach Resort, and Allamanda. Guests can spend a few nights at one of the Holiday Residences' two-bedroom villas or opt for a three- or four-bedroom pool villa which offer all the luxuries you'd expect from a five-star hotel, but in a more private and homely setting. There was an eight-guest limit on my three-bedroom pool villa but it was spacious enough for 15!
Once you obtain a day pass you can avail of the facilities offered by other resorts in the complex. If you're looking for a nice place to get married, there's a private chapel here which can accommodate 50 people.
