Teddy Auto Sales, a new player in independent premium car importing, will invest more than 100 million baht to build a new showroom and service centre.
It will be the third facility built by the company in less than two years. Teddy Auto Sales entered the market in July last year and has already set up two showrooms and standard service centres - one on Rarm Intra Road Km 2 as its head office and the other on Vibhavadi Rangsit Highway.
The new showroom and service centre will be built on Pattanakarn Road in Bangkok's eastern suburbs for 100 million baht - excluding the cost of land - and will serve customers in Suan Luang, Phra Khanong, Prawet, Srinakarin, Bang Na, Samrong and Ramkhamhaeng.
"We are expanding our business after receiving strong support from our customers and the new facilities will help service numerous cars sold by Teddy over the past year," said president Chookiat Srithongsathien.
Teddy sold 190 imported cars last year and expects to sell 400 this year. As of last month, it had sold 255 units this year - 150 multi-purpose vehicles, 60 SUVs, 30 sports cars and 15 other models.
Construction of the new centre began last week and is to be completed in early December. The showroom will be able to display eight cars while the service centre will have 12 working bays able to service 48 cars per day. There will also be a body repair bay, paint centre and parts and accessories stockroom.
