HP last week introduced its first mini-notebook PC here, the HP 2133 Mini-Note, a full-function machine that integrates 802.11a/b/g or b/g WLAN1 connectivity and which is designed specifically for mobile youths and business professionals. The unit has a starting weight of just 1.19kg and features an 8.9in display and a large keyboard to maximise productivity for individuals on-the-go.
This mini notebook offers HP's 3D DriveGuard to ensure hard drive data protection during travel and use, balancing design and functionality, while the unit has a lightweight, anodized aluminum tamper-proof case with no visible screws for enhanced durability.
Dimensions are 27mm (at front) x 255mm x 165mm in a simple design. There is a scratch-resistant 8.9-inch WXGA (1280x768 pixel) display with a Qwerty keyboard, touchpad and a built-in webcam.
There are two batteries, a 3-cell battery for the lightest-weight configurations or six cells for extended life. With a Via 1.6GHz processor, 120GB HDD, the 2133, with Windows Vista Business is 35,900 baht and available later this month.
