Senators report assets

Priyanandana Rangsit is the richest senator with more than 1.25 billion baht in assets, the national anti-graft body revealed yesterday. An appointed senator, M.R. Priyanandana is the daughter of the late Prince Piyarangsit Rangsit and Princess Vibhavadi Rangsit. M.R. Priyanandana's husband declared assets valued at 44 million baht, according to the National Counter Corruption Commission (NCCC).

The least wealthy senator is Singchai Tungthong, who is five million baht in the red as his 10 million baht in debts surpass his five million baht in assets.

All senators, except one, submitted their assets declarations after taking up their posts in March and April.

Senate Speaker Prasopsuk Boondech and his wife have assets of about 32 million baht.

First deputy Senate speaker Nikhom Vairatpanich reported 149 million baht in assets, while second deputy Thassana Boonthong, an appointed senator, declared assets worth 49 million baht.

Bangkok senator Rosana Tositrakul declared assets of five million baht with debts of one million baht.
