ICT AWARDS
Openmind Projects participated in the Stockholm Challenge 2008 last month at the Royal Technical Institute of Stockholm. The small aid and development organisation, based in Nong Khai, was a candidate for the best use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in development projects award.
Director and co-founder Sven Mauleon said their participation met the objectives of finding new ideas, new ways of working and potential new partners. The event, staged from May 19 to 22, included workshops, an exhibition by participants and a visit to Ericsson's head office.
Openmind Projects supports around 60 educational and environmental projects, including local schools, national parks, orphan homes and community organisations in Thailand, Cambodia, Nepal and Laos.
