Glow bonds all sold

ENERGY :Glow Energy Plc said yesterday that it had successfully issued 1.5 million baht worth of seven-year debentures at a coupon of 5.84%, and 2.5 million baht in 10-year debentures at 6.34% on June 5. Both issues have been rated A by Tris Rating.

The company told the Stock Exchange of Thailand that the proceeds would be used to finance the ongoing construction of a 115-Megawatt coal-fired power plant, scheduled to be completed in December 2009, and a new 382 MW cogeneration expansion to begin construction in August and scheduled to be completed in September 2011.

GLOW shares closed yesterday on the Stock Exchange of Thailand at 32 baht, unchanged, in trade worth 5.86 million baht.

Jet web check-in

AVIATION :Jet Airways, India's international airline, has introduced a web check-in facility on its flights to six major international destinations: Bangkok, Singapore, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, London and Brussels.

Passengers on these routes can now check in at http://www.jetairways.com, select their seats and print their boarding passes before they go to the airport.

15-day bill 3.21%

DEBT MARKET :The Bank of Thailand yesterday sold 70 billion baht worth of 15-day bills for a weighted average accepted yield of 3.21486%. Accepted bid yields ranged from 3.208% to 3.224%, with the bid coverage ratio 2.36 times.

Reserves off $300m

FINANCIAL DATA :International reserves totalled $108.6 billion as of June 6, down from $108.9 billion the week before, the Bank of Thailand said yesterday.

The net forward position was $18.7 billion as of June 6, compared with $18.8 billion the week before. Net claims on government were 17.5 billion baht, compared with 157.9 billion the week before. Net policy credits were -2,026.1 billion baht, compared with -2,165.8 billion. Reserve money was 873.4 billion baht as of June 6, compared with 900.6 billion.
