BEIJING : Olympic weightlifting champion Prapawadee Jaroenrattanatarakoon will not give any special interview or appear in TV shows until after the Thai delegation are back home after the Games. The weightlifting team will leave for Bangkok tomorrow and will immediately return to their training camp in Chiang Mai.
The biggest group of the Thai contingent will return to Thailand on August 25 after the Games end on August 24.
The Thai Amateur Weightlifting Association of Thailand (Tawa) will also set up a committee to oversee Prapawadee's incentives.
''Kay (Prapawadee) is in huge demand and she feel uncomfortable with this. Even when she calls her parents, there are journalists by their side who want to talk to her. This is inconvenient for her,'' said Tawa president Bussaba Yodbangtoey.
''To be fair to the media and all concerned parties, we will discuss this. Tawa will also set up a committee to look after her incentives.''
Prapawadee, who won gold in the 53kg division on Sunday, said any celebration would not be held until after all the Thai delegation return home on August 25.
She said she wanted to complete her MBA courses at North Chiang Mai after suspending the studies to focus on her preparations for the Games.
Prapawadee and her team-mates went to the Silk Market yesterday. She had lunch at a Thai restaurant where she met Athens weightlifting champion Pawina Thongsuk.
