The SCG Foundation, Book for Children Foundation and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration will host the 5th Tales in the Park Festival at Palm Tree Garden, Lumphini Park, from 4 to 5:30pm, every Saturday until February 7.
Contents and themes from five classic tales - Conduroy, Caps for Sale, Million of Cats, In the Forest and The Carrot Seed - will be applied to various activities for parents and children to showcase the power of story-telling.
The programmes include recitals of Conduroy by Krongthong Boonprakhong and her team on Saturday, Million of Cats by the Nitharn Kradarn Hok group on December 27 and The Carrot Seed by the Mai Kheed Fai Group, and a meet-and-greet with SEA Write winner Ngarmpun Vejjajiva.
Other activities are paediatric lectures on child-raising, as well as art workshops for parents and children.
