Heineken building online community

Thai Asia Pacific Brewery Co, the local distributor of Heineken beer, plans to spend 100 million baht on its GreenSpace social networking campaign to reinforce its dynamic and innovative brand image.

Ronnie Teo, the company's commercial director, said the company expected at least 100,000 members to join and take part in activities via the i-greenspace website within this year.The company has signed Monton ''Jay'' Jira as its music director to present international music styles expected to appeal to the younger consumers the brand is trying to reach.

Thai Asia Pacific Brewery expects its sales to grow by 5% this year. Currently, Heineken enjoys a 93% share in Thailand's premium beer segment that is valued at an estimated 6.36 billion baht.
