CAT2Call cuts rate to 75 satang

CAT Telecom has reduced its CAT2Call Internet-based international call rates to 75 satang a minute and extended destinations to 157 countries from 79 to meet growing demand for the service. Pirasak Arunsakul, executive vice-president of the state telecom enterprise, said its VoIP-based (Voice over Internet Protocol) CAT2Call or PC-to-phone service was cheaper than ever before because it started at 75 satang and covered destinations including the US, the UK, China, Germany, and Singapore.

Service rates were also cheaper to Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Hungary, Spain, Cyprus and the Czech Republic.

CAT2Call can also be used for domestic calls. To use the service, customers can go to http://www.cat2call.com to purchase prepaid cards using Visa, debit cards or bank accounts. Users then receive an access code by e-mail.

He expects increased customer traffic from the rate cut, particularly students who use computers regularly.

CAT2Call can be used anywhere with internet service, even overseas to make calls back to Thailand.
