Yahoo!'s Flickr is an online photo album, akin to PhotoBucket.com but with nicer user interface. It also allows users to show their photos in communities. The site features "Geotag" which lets you link photos to locations where they are taken. Such a feature attracts tourists and travellers and differentiates the site from others designed for photographers like Multiply.com. Flickr offers tools like Uploadr and Organizr to make your image uploading and management easier.
Like Flickr, Google's Picasa is also an online photo album. It's suitable for uploading tons of images for sharing with others. You need to download Picasa desktop software for uploading images to this web site. Since it is part of Google's Internet services, you can use its location tagging capability to link the pictures to Google Map.
Facebook is a real social networking web site, similar to hi5 but with cleaner interfaces. Of all three web sites mentioned here, Facebook has the best user interface by far, in my opinion. You can tag names for people in the picture, perform multiple uploads or arrange your online photos with ease.
