APP SHOT

Putting your photos online could hardly be easier than using Online Gallery's two-step process. |
Everyone who has photos to share and a web page should put her photos online. There are a number of easy programs that help you do this, but none easier, I think, than Online Gallery.
The program does pretty well everything automatically except choose your photos and put labels on them. The few choices you have to make involve how you want the online photo show to look in layout and colours.
There are really just three steps to the process. First, choose the photos from your collection, arrange them in the order you like, and caption them. Click to automatically create the code and folders needed for the web site. Upload the gallery.
The default gallery produced by this software is well thought out and convenient for all viewers.
The opening page has all the thumbnails, with the captions you produce. Click on any thumbnail and the full-size photo loads quickly - depending on your Internet connection of course. Now if you click on the photo, you return to the thumbnail page. There are also navigation buttons to go to the next or previous photos in the order that you originally selected them when you set up the web page on your own computer. You get a preview of all this in your own browser before Online Gallery offers to upload the whole web page for you. Naturally, you can do this part yourself if you want.
The program has a German home page and I couldn't find any English. However, I did find "Download" and then I found the program on that page. Everything in the program itself was in English. Start at http://www.in-mediakg.de.
