Sway with Pendulum

Q Magazine once said that if Prodigy had been born in Australia, they would be Pendulum. And now is your chance to see what the respected music magazine was babbling about. Pendulum is delivering a deejay set this Friday at Club Culture.

Formed in Perth in 2003 before relocating to the UK, Rob Swire, Gareth McGrillen, Perry ap Gwynedd, Ben Mount (MC Verse), Paul ''El Hornet'' Harding and Paul Kodish showered the world with their well-received Hold Your Colour in 2005, which incorporated sounds ranging from drum 'n' bass, electronica, rock to break beats. It was cited as one of the best-selling drum 'n' bass albums in the past few years. Their second album, In Silico, was released last month.

Joining the deejay set will be Harding, together with the renowned MC Jakes. A man with many styles, MC Jakes has been working alongside with Kosheen, Timo Mass and featured in events such as Dreamscape, Helter Skelter and One Nation while holding residencies at three club nights in London. Jakes has also signed to D-Style records. MC Jakes is in the process of recording his first solo album.

'Pendulum DJ Set Featuring MC Jakes' is on Friday at Club Culture, from 9pm to 2am. Pre-sale tickets cost 500 baht (including one drink), and 700 baht (including one drink) at the door. Call 08-9497-8422 for more information.
