England coach Capello in Bangkok

TOR CHITTINAND

Euro2008 news update

England coach Fabio Capello arrived in Bangkok yesterday to give a lecture to the Thailand Premier League teams today and open a football clinic tomorrow. Capello, who arrived yesterday with his wife and English FA technical chief Simon Johnson, declined to talk to the press.

It is the 62-year-old Italian's second trip to Thailand.

He was here 12 years ago with AC Milan for an exhibition match when he coached the Italian side.

Worawi Makudi, president of the Football Association of Thailand (FAT), said Capello told him that he was happy to be back in the kingdom.

Capello, a former AC Milan player and ex-Italy international, will talk to the Thai league sides about leadership and coaching at the Radisson hotel today and will open a football clinic for the national Under-12 and Under-19 teams at Rajamangala stadium.
