A proud heritage
In Thailand, the Ford history dates back to 1913 when the legendary Model T was first introduced to the country's automotive industry. Now, 90 years later, Ford is one of the country's biggest exporters of pick-up trucks, Ford Ranger, and family sport utility vehicles (SUV), Ford Everest. In addition, Ford Thailand manages and markets the global Ford Motor Company's highly-acclaimed fully-integrated vehicles, namely Ford Ranger, Ford Tierra sedan, Ford Explorer, Ford Everest, and Ford Escape.

Ford Asia-Pacific Marketing & Sales division relocated its headquarters to Bangkok, Thailand in October 2002. The move underscores Ford's commitment and confidence in the growth opportunities within the region.

Established in 1995, Ford Thailand was registered with an initial capital of 5,080 million Baht. Ford formed a joint venture with Mazda and local partners to establish AutoAlliance (Thailand) Co., Ltd., which operates a state-of-the-art assembly plant in the Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate in Rayong Province.

Vision and mission
Ford Thailand envisions becoming the world’s leading consumer company for automotive products and services. The company’s proud heritage, tradition and business operation are guided by the mission: We are a global, diverse family, with a proud heritage, passionately committed to providing outstanding products and services that improve peoples’ lives.

Ford Thailand is proud of being the first and only Ford production base in the world to manufacture Ford Everest, recently launched as the world’s premiere at the 24th Bangkok International Motorshow. Production of the global Ford Everest was commenced at AutoAlliance (Thailand), designated as the central production base for this 7-seater SUV for distribution to over 50 countries worldwide. At the celebration of the Ford Centennial Year on 16 June 2003, congratulations also went to Ford Thailand on its achievement in delivering Ford Everest to the world’s first 100 customers. With many achievements, Ford Thailand is also proud to present its latest innovation in Rear Access System (RAS). Moreover, the company also takes pride in receiving the Car of the Year 2003 Award for Ford Tierra from the 24th Bangkok International Motorshow.

Serving a vast market
Ford Thailand serves a host of reputable local and international markets with its high-quality products, comprising Ford Ranger, Ford Tierra, Ford Explorer, Ford Escape and Ford Everest. The Ford Ranger and Ford Everest are produced in Thailand for export to more than 100 international countries across the globe.

The company's competitive advantages comprise:
• Automotive innovations that boast the highest standards of quality and affordability for various customer needs and individual lifestyles.
• Maximum safety that is widely recognised by its customers worldwide.
• Manufacturing standard that sets the stage for Thailand’s developing automotive industry, with its model manufacturing base in Rayong.
