A successful beginning
OLIC (Thailand) Limited was founded in 1984, when Diethelm Holdings (Switzerland) purchased the pharmaceutical assets of Lepitit, the Thailand affiliate of Dow-Chemical Company. In 1997, to enhance its production capacity as well as product quality, OLIC moved to a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant located at the Bang Pa-in Industrial Estate in Ayutthaya Province. The facility, one of the most modern in Southeast Asia, is located on 80,000 square metres of land, owned by OLIC.

A member of the DiethelmKeller-SiberHegner (DKSH) Group of Companies, OLIC is the largest toll manufacturer and the third largest distributor of pharmaceuticals and-over-the counter medicines in Thailand.

OLIC is a trusted partner of over 50 international pharmaceutical and healthcare companies, including 13 of the top 15, according to the Pharmaceutical Producers Association of Thailand (PPA).

Quality production
The company’s major objective is to manufacture products according to world-class quality standards. The plant regularly receives the two-year GMP certification from the Thai FDA, the maximum period of certification available. As most of the company’s clients are multinational companies, OLIC also regularly undergoes client audits and works closely with client teams to ensure international GMP standards are strictly followed.

OLIC employs a quality control team of over 70, with 25 certified pharmacists on its staff. OLIC’s QC lab also provides various services to other companies, including testing and evaluation of materials, production samples and finished products.

Technological know-how
OLIC has implemented SAP , an integrated system for manufacturing, planning, scheduling and tracking pharmaceutical production. This world-class Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution, captures and tracks all batch and lot data for raw materials, work in process, semi-finished and finished goods, from manufacturing right up to distribution, ensuring products made at OLIC meet the highest quality standards.

Efficient distribution
OLIC delivers over 40,000 cartons monthly to over 10,000 customer points throughout the 76 provinces of Thailand, including government and private hospitals, wholesale cash-and-carry outlets, private practitioners and clinics and retail pharmacies.
