Memorable history
Established in 1974, Philip’s Semiconductors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. originally manufactured integrated circuits in a temporary facility in a group of shophouses in Saphan Mai, near Bangkok International Airport. Later in 1980, the company purchased a 40-rai plot of land on Chaeng Watthana Road and established a fully equipped factory to assemble and test integrated circuits for export. Today, the company, with over 3,000 employees, is an important assembly and test centre for Philips’ semiconductors worldwide.

Continuous improvement
Inside its 40-rai factory on Chaeng Watthana Road, Philips Semiconductors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. produces some 2,830 million units per year. The company’s renowned semiconductors are used all over the world.

The company is dedicated to continuous improvement in all spheres of its operations and continuously monitors customer feedback. Staff are constantly encouraged to upgrade their skills and improve their performances. In order to foster good working relations, many social schemes have been set up, and as a result, this year, the company has been named as the Best Employer in Asia and the Best Employer in Thailand.
