Harnessed to perfection
Since it became operational in 1994, Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems (Thailand) Limited (SEWT) has become one of the major producers of vehicle harnesses and cables in Asia. Manufacturing cables for some of the biggest names in the automotive sector, Sumitomo takes great pride in its technological expertise and highly-trained staff.

As a part of the internationally acclaimed Sumitomo Group based in Japan, SEWT receives invaluable technology transfers and technical assistance from its parent companies.

Because of the increasing demand for wiring harness and components from the automobile industry, SEWT’s components division branched out and in 2002, established SEWS-Components (Thailand) Ltd. (SEWS-CT). Set up to produce wiring harness components, SEWS-CT supplies its products to Sumitomo-affiliated companies in Japan and the ASEAN region.

SEWT is now a major production base for wire harnesses and electrical wires, providing superior products and services for not just its parent companies in Japan, but other car assembly houses in Thailand and the rest of the world.

State-of-the-art facility
From its 44-rai complex located in Rayong’s industrial zone, SEWT is able to produce 26,000 units of harness wiring a month. SEWT’s harness wiring is used by international companies such as Honda, Toyota, Mitsubishi and Nissan.

The latest technology and staff training ensure that all SEWT’s products are of the highest quality. Quality control is of utmost importance at all stages of the production process and everything is carefully monitored. This commitment to quality is proven by the many awards SEWT has received:
• Toyota Best Supplier Award
• TMT Supplier Quality Campaign 2002
• Honda Best Delivery Award
• Honda Best Quality Award
• Mitsubishi Quality Award
• OBA Award (Quality Award for Honda models at SWS)

Made for the best
SEWT’s extensive technological expertise and quality awareness have contributed to the company’s success as a global supplier of wiring harness and electrical wires for the automobile industry. SEWT’s main products include: Sub earth, WH door, WH RR R door, Intr and sun roof, Rear harness,
WH RR L door, E/G harness, WH eng room, WH door (AS), Floor harness,
Earth battery, Cord ECU sub, Cord combi, INST harness, and Side turn

Human Resources —
SEWT’s most valuable asset

SEWT recognises the importance of its human resources and has taken extensive measures to ensure a clean and safe working environment. The company also organises an internal training and development programme, which provides various kinds of training courses for all levels of employees. SEWT strictly adheres to all relevant human rights policies and ensure that its 2,500 employees are given a healthy work environment. As an indication of these commitments, SEWT was awarded a prize in the Anti-narcotics Workplace Project, conducted by the Rayong Provincial Administration.

SEWT is proud of its reputation as a world-class manufacturing company and it intends to go on improving in all areas, to ensure that customers receive the best possible quality of products and services.
