A health and
safety-conscious company
Vinythai’s three production units were set up to integrate the production of PVC, in order to rely to the fullest extent on locally purchased raw materials and utilities: ethylene from Thai Olefins Public Company Limited (TOC), salt from Pimai Salt Co., Ltd. (PSC) and electricity from the Grow SPP Public Company Limited (Grow Group). In order to secure the availability of raw materials still further, Vinythai has become a minority shareholder of both TOC and PSC.

The Membrane Chlor-Alkali plant provides the chlorine that will ultimately be contained in the PVC resins. In conducting the electrolysis of the salt process, this plant also produces important quantities of Caustic Soda, Hydrogen and Sodium Hypochlorite. All these products are sold on the market, the latter two mainly in the vicinity of Map Ta Phut.

Though most of the PVC production relies exclusively on locally produced Chlorine, EDC and VCM, the site has the capability of importing either EDC or VCM in order to boost PVC production, when economic conditions make such imports profitable.

Today, aside from producing high-quality products for domestic consumption, the company also exports to several markets, such as the U.S.A., Canada, Australia, Hong Kong and China.

Outstanding achievements
Over the years, Vinythai Public Company Limited has received various awards and certifications. The company’s most recent achievement is its receipt of two prestigious certificates: ISO 9001:2000 for the quality management system from BVQI, and TIS 17025-2543:2000 (ISO/IEC 17025:1999) from the Thai Laboratory Accreditation Scheme, Thai Industrial Standards Institute, Ministry of Industry.
