Founded soon after World War II,
the Bangkok Post has been
Thailand’s voice to the world for 57 years.

Even in the most sensitive or turbulent times in Thailand’s political and industrial development, elected and military governments alike have respected the integrity and independence of the Bangkok Post. They have all recognised it as ‘the newspaper you can trust’, the slogan which appears to this day on the front page.

Most well educated Thai leaders in government and commerce graduated to become Bangkok Post subscribers after learning English through Post Publishing Company’s Student Weekly. The Bangkok Post is an integral part of their daily lives. They are now running the kind of companies featured here today — successful companies in manufacturing and commerce. They use the Bangkok Post as an important advertising medium to reach the highest socioeconomic group in Thailand… Bangkok Post readers.

Foreign enterprises, too, are increasingly using Thailand as a manufacturing, exporting base, not only for the ASEAN grouping of countries but also for places further afield. They have brought with them the much needed foreign investment, expertise and necessary quality control for world trade. These working visitors often decide to remain in Thailand. They demand the highest international standards of journalism ethics and accountability — they read the Bangkok Post. They also appreciate the fact that the Bangkok Post has the only audited circulation in Thailand, so they get what they pay for when they advertise.

These Thai and foreign companies are both readers and advertisers. They are partners in progress with the Bangkok Post.

On the occasion of the Bangkok Post’s 57th anniversary and as a token of our appreciation for the trust and business given to us by so many successful, dynamic people, we give you “57 Prominent Enterprises” — a celebratory publication. It is the strength of these companies and the fact that so many people like you choose to read the Bangkok Post that have helped make it Thailand’s most prominent newspaper. Thanks to all of you.
