B. Grimm is active in the following fields:
• Communication – Thailand’s telecommunication infrastructure
and those in neighbouring countries have become
more advanced, thanks to Siemens Limited’s record-breaking
turnkey installation skills, which are supported
by B. Grimm’s marketing efforts.
• Construction – The group provides world-class glass
aluminium curtain walls for high-rise buildings all
over the globe.
• Cooling – B. Grimm improves comfort and efficiency
in homes, offices and industries by distributing air-conditioners
through a joint-venture with Carrier Corporation,
the world’s largest air-conditioning brand. The units
are made under license by B. Grimm.
• Health care – The group is a leading provider of
advanced medical equipment through B. Grimm Healthcare
Co., Ltd. and joint ventures with Siemens and Carl
Zeiss. A further joint-venture company, Merck Ltd.,
markets and distributes chemicals and pharmaceuticals
through one of the world’s most environmentally friendly
warehouses, while medical bandages are made and exported
in a joint venture with Urgo Healthcare Products.
Another division catering to the well-being of the
group’s customers is its spa and cosmetics business.
B. Grimm owns and operates the Paris Spa outlets at
the Peninsula Plaza and Alma Link buildings, and supplies
quality products from such brands as L’Occitane, Boucheron,
Valmont, Thalgo and Lazartique to many of the country’s
leading spas. B. Grimm also started retailing Burberry
products in Gaysorn and Central department stores.
• Energy – B. Grimm is a pioneer in the local power-generation
industry. Its joint-venture business with such companies
as Amata Power allow for strategic development, management
and operation, providing clean, reliable and inexpensive
electricity and steam to the national grid and to
over 50 large manufacturers in Thailand and Vietnam.
• Industry – B. Grimm’s electrification, process cooling,
pumping systems and production equipment, as well
as all necessary system installation services, are
offered by B. Grimm Trading Corporation, Siemens Limited,
Carrier (Thailand) Ltd. and KSB Pumps Ltd.
• Transportation – Since the inception of the State
Railway of Thailand, B. Grimm has been supplying the
kingdom with modern rolling stock, signalling equipment
and gears, and maintenance services. The company,
along with Siemens, also supplied turnkey systems
and services to Bangkok’s BTS SkyTrain and subway
system.
• Real Estate – Starting in 1989, B. Grimm has developed
two 19-storey office buildings for rent – the Alma
Link Building, situated in the central business district,
and the Dr. Gerhard Link Building, located east of
Bangkok. The company also operates warehouses for
rent in Eastern Bangkok.
