In 1920, Hitachi, Ltd. (Japan) was established with a
paid-up capital of 10 million yen.
Since then the company has manufactured over 20,000 different
products, including electrical appliances, industrial
machinery, generators, computers and all kinds of electronic
components.
Hitachi in Thailand
As Southeast Asia has developed over the last few decades,
there has been an increasing demand for high-quality
electronic products which was initially met by Japanese
imports. The growing market led to the establishment
of a Hitachi office in Bangkok in 1958 and in 1970, Hitachi
Consumer Products (Thailand) Ltd. began to manufacture
household electronics in Thailand under the name
U.E.I. – Hitachi Co., Ltd.
However, as Thailand’s industrial sector grew, there
was an ever-increasing demand for quality electronic motors.
And so, in 1989, Hitachi Industrial Technology (Thailand)
Limited (HITT) was founded in Samut Prakan province. Since
then, the company has grown into one of the most productive
and respected electronics manufacturers in Thailand.
Producing motors and other products for both export and
the domestic market, HITT’s products are in great demand.
Backed by Hitachi, Ltd. (Japan), the company has built
up a highly-experienced management team and a skilled
Thai workforce.
In 1995, to cope with the growing demand for its products,
the company commenced construction of a new factory in
Kabin Buri District, in Prachin Buri Province. This factory
was completed in February 1996 and production commenced
in April that year.
Hitachi Industrial Technology (Thailand) Limited specialises
in the production of industrial equipment, such as motors,
vortex blowers, circuit breakers and switches.
One step ahead:
Hitachi’s production technology
To ensure that all of its products meet the high standards
that customers have come to expect, Hitachi Industrial
Technology (Thailand) Limited employs state-of-the-art
technology and ensures that employees receive intensive
training so that they are familiar with all stages of
production.
The manufacture of such products as motors and vortex
blowers requires precise engineering. To this end, HITT
uses Computer Aided Design (CAD) to ensure that every
aspect of the design is carefully monitored
and standardised and the exact needs of customers are
met quickly and efficiently.
As Hitachi insists that only products of the highest
possible quality leave its manufacturing plants, quality
control is of the utmost importance. All products have
to achieve the strict requirements of the internationally
recognised ISO 9001:2000 standards accreditation.
Bright future
HITT is set to expand its operations and widen its product
range to meet increasing demand by its customers for
high-quality electronic products. The company will pursue
further innovation so as to be able to provide ideal
solutions for customers, both in Thailand and abroad.
Moreover, HITT will continue to be a responsible member
of society and contribute to the growth and development
of Thailand and its people.
