company
Indo Poly, previously known as Siam Polyester, was acquired
in November 1997 at the height of the Asian financial crisis.
The unit is a joint venture between Indorama Group of Thailand,
a leading manufacturer of intermediate products focusing
on wool, polyester, PET resin and specialty chemicals, and
PT Indorama Synthetics, a public listed Company of the Indorama
Group. With the help of the financial, technical and marketing
expertise available within the Group, it was turned into
a profitable concern within a short time. Based in Bangkok,
Indorama Thailand employs more than 3,000 employees.
Powerful portfolio
Indo Poly is a manufacturer of variety of polyester resins,
yarns and staple fibres. With its two polymerisation
plants and modifications and renovations it can meet
all client requirements. The company's main product
portfolio includes:
• Film grade resins and antiblock masterbatches
• POY, including catonic brights, dope dyed and high count
yarns
• FDY including super bright and bright trilobal specialties
• PSF, including micro, hollow, optically white fibres
for non-woven
• Draw textured yarns

Safety and environmental concerns
Indo Poly continually strives to inculcate a culture of
safety and spread awareness of ecological concerns amongst
its employees. Not a single man-day has been lost due
to accidents in the past few years. The company's oil
fired heaters are constantly monitored to ensure efficient
combustion. No trace of effluent is allowed to pass
untreated through its effluent treatment plant.
Tried and tested
The company's products meet international standards and
have been tested and certified as follows:
• Resins for packaging applications are FDA approved
• Yarns and staple fibres are ranked "Product Class
1" according to Oeko -Tex Standard 100 by BTTG,
Manchester, UK and meet human ecological current requirement
standards
for baby use.
• Yarns and staple fibres are certified by ISEGA, Aschaffenburg,
Germany for food packaging and hygiene product applications,
especially baby diapers.
