Forging ahead

IT Forging (Thailand) Co., Ltd. was incorporated on 28 December 1994 as a joint venture between Isuzu Motors (Japan), Isuzu Thailand Co., Ltd., TDF Corporation and Tri Petch Isuzu Sales Co., Ltd. With a paid-up capital of 700 million baht, the company was given Board of Investment promotional privileges to establish the factory at Siam Eastern Industrial Park. Located in Rayong Province, the factory enables the manufacture of the finest-quality forged parts for engine and transmission components. Today, IT Forging (Thailand) Co., Ltd. employs 228 highly-trained staff, and has a production capacity of 22,000 tonnes per annum.

Making use of the biggest 6,000-tonne press machine in Southeast Asia, IT Forging (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has been at the forefront of the forged parts market in the region. In addition to its renowned high-quality forged parts and forging dies, the company also produces crankshafts, connecting rods, knuckles, timing gears, pulleys, yokes, shaft ends, weld yokes and flange yokes.

IT Forging — a name you can trust

Quality control is a vital element of IT Forging (Thailand) Co., Ltd.’s business tradition. Transferring cutting-edge technology from Japan, the company strictly monitors all stages of the production process, starting from the careful selection of raw materials and the pressing process to rust prevention treatment, to ensure global standards of quality.

During the pressing process, the 1,500; 2,500 and 6,000-tonne advanced press machines are used to ensure precision dimension, hardness and the over-all surface condition, in compliance with specified standards.

The company’s high standards are reflected in IT Forging (Thailand)’s achievement of ISO 9002, QS 9000 and ISO/TS16949 certifications, accredited by Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI). The certificates have given the company a competitive edge in the world’s automotive market, while reinforcing its leading position in the forged parts industry.

A truly green company
Industrial pollution has had an adverse impact on the global environment, making it imperative that all companies minimise and eliminate pollutants generated by factories.

As a responsible member of society, IT Forging (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has taken the initiative of implementing ISO 14001 to help protect the environment. The objective is to streamline responsible environmental management and help improve and upgrade the company’s production processes through various environmental preservation activities. These include the prevention and control of oil spills, improvements to water treatment and the achievement of a proper waste disposal system.

The company is pleased to announce that it successfully achieved its ISO 14001 certification from BVQI on 26 November 2003. The system has had a good impact on general staff performance, and activities geared to conserving energy and resources have kept operational costs low.

Towards the future
IT Forging (Thailand) Co., Ltd. is one of Thailand’s premier producers of forged products for the automotive industry. However, the company does not intend to rest on its laurels and will increase its market share so as to be able to offer its services to an even wider range of customers across the region.
