Founded in 1930 in Japan, Kato Spring has over 70 years
of experience as a leading manufacturer of precision springs
and wire forms. Having changed its trading name to Advanex
Inc. in 2001, the company currently has nine international
manufacturing sites in seven different countries.
Kato Spring (Thailand)
Kato Spring (Thailand) Ltd., an affiliated company
of Kato Spring (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., the regional
headquarters, started operations in Thailand in
1998 as a manufacturer of precision coil springs,
flat springs, stamping parts and sub-assemblies.
Granted Board of Investment (BOI) promotional privileges
for its first project in 1998, and again for its
second project in 2001, the company is the market
leader in the supply of precision components in
Thailand.
The products manufactured by Kato are used in television
and computer monitor picture tubes, printers, disk
drives, optical storage,
OA equipment, mobile phones and refrigerator compressors.
The firm’s list of multinational clients includes
such big names as Sony, Pioneer, Cannon and Murata,
as well as other locally renowned manufacturers of
consumer and industrial electronic products.
With its aim to provide total solutions,
Kato Spring (Thailand) also designs original products
to serve the needs of each specific client.
Resounding quality
A company of Kato’s calibre understands that quality

and that to achieve market supremacy, environmental

Kato Spring (Thailand) made acquiring both the ISO
9001:2000 quality management and ISO 14001 environmental
certification two of its top priorities.
After 14 months of intense training and hard work
from staff at all levels, Kato Spring (Thailand) Ltd.
successfully obtained ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001
certifications in October 2003. This morale-boosting
achievement not only confirms Kato’s goal of becoming
the cream of the crop, but also proves to consumers
and staff alike that the company really does care.
