ISO/TS 16949:2002 originated from the world’s leading car manufacturers, including IAOB from the U.S.A., ANFIA from Italy, CCFA and FIEV from France, SMMT from the U.K., VDA-QMC from Germany, DaimlerChrysler, Ford Motor and General Motors Corporation. Companies manufacturing automotive parts based on their customers’ technical designs and specifications are expected to apply this standard.

Preparations for the implementation of ISO/TS 16949:2002 commenced in July 2002, with every step of the company’s operation being adapted to comply with the requirements of the system. Certified by RWT?V (Thailand) Ltd. on 1 July 2003, Mahajak Autoparts Co., Ltd. held its formal certification ceremony at the factory.

In addition to the ISO/TS 16949:2002 certificate, Mahajak Autoparts Co., Ltd. also successfully attained ISO 9001:2000.
