Founded in 1960 under the name of Nam Charoen Bangkok Ltd.,
Part., N.C.R. Rubber Industry Co., Ltd. took only two years
to establish its first rubber factory and supply its two retail
stores in Khlong Thom – one of Bangkok’s busiest business locales.
Nam Charoen continuously expanded its business prospects, and,
in 1977, exported its first shipment of industrial rubber hoses
abroad.
Germany, the industrial heart of Europe, was the first foreign
country to acquire Nam Charoen’s superior products. After
taking the European market by storm, it was apparent that
the company was heading for bigger and better things. The
inevitable move in 1980 to the larger Teparuk, Samut Prakan
factory and the renaming of the company to N.C.R. Rubber Industry
Co., Ltd. confirmed that the organisation was ready for a
new era of business supremacy.
N.C.R. today
N.C.R. Rubber Industry Co., Ltd. currently operates from a
state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Rayong, a few hours’
drive from the heart of Bangkok and a matter of minutes from
Laem Chabang Port. Boasting a production capacity of 4,800
tonnes a year, N.C.R. is one of Thailand’s largest manufacturers,
exporters, wholesalers and retailers of a wide range of industrial
essentials. These include: industrial and automotive rubber
hoses; mandrel-built hoses; rubber expansion joints; marine
fenders; bridge bearing pads; rubber and sponge profiles;
silicone tubes and profiles; and moulded rubber parts.
With a mission to produce and supply quality rubber products
and services – with an emphasis on safety – to the Thai market
and global community, N.C.R. established four affiliated companies
to expand both its domestic and international distribution
channels. These include:
• Wattanasuk International Co., Ltd. (importer and distributor
of rubber/PVC engineered products)
• N.C.B. International Co., Ltd.
(office building developer)
• Bridgestone NCR Co., Ltd.
(manufacturer of non-tyre rubber products)
• NCR TRB Industry Co., Ltd.
(manufacturer of PVC-related products)

In many ways, the ISO 9002:1994 certification, attained in
December 1999, and the updated version – ISO 9001:2000, attained
in October 2003 – are guarantees of just that. The world-renowned
certification proves to customers that products and services
at N.C.R. conform to a certified quality management system.

is a reward for the hard work and dedication of every individual.
