Thai Mitsui Specialty Chemicals Co., Ltd. (TMSC) was founded
with a registered capital of 318 million baht on 2 July 1997,
as a joint venture between Thai Mitsui Toatsu Co., Ltd. (TMT),
Siam Resin and Chemicals Co., Ltd. (SRC) and Mitsui Toatsu Chemicals
(Thailand) Co., Ltd. (MTC-T).
With its combination of Japanese technology and up-to-date
machinery, TMSC is proud to provide customers with high-quality
synthetic resins for the automotive, packaging, decorative
paint, textile, refrigerator, paper, fibre-reinforced polyester
plastic (FRP) and adhesive industries.
TMSC currently has two factories, located in Samut Prakan
Province and at Wellgrow Industrial Estate in Chachoengsao
Province.
For TMSC, quality is of the utmost importance. The company
has progressively improved and upgraded its product quality
standards and is committed to offering high-quality resins
and quality standards that are equal to those
of the parent company, Mitsui Chemical Inc., (Japan) one
of the worlds leading chemical manufacturers.
Understanding the need for continued development, as a foundation
for a strong
R&D operation, TMSC has established a
well-equipped laboratory, and hired many specialised industrial
chemists to control quality and enhance productivity.
Resin a versatile product
Resin is a polymer widely used in everyday life, in the home,
at work and in a wide array of industries. It is an essential
material in the production of textiles, paper, electrical
goods, insulation, civil engineering and construction materials,
and a variety of household appliances. Specialty resins and
urethane chemicals manufactured by TMSC are available in many
applications to meet various user needs.
ISO 9001:2000
a quality guarantee
To take advantage of the value and benefits of a world-class
quality programme, TMSC decided to adopt the ISO 9001:2000
system at every step of its production. Since the system was
implemented, staff at all levels have been committed to maintaining
international standards of quality. From the receipt of raw
materials to finished products, every quality procedure has
been adjusted to meet the high standards of the system. Additional
training programmes have also been conducted to increase the
involvement of all staff.
TMSC successfully achieved the
ISO 9001:2000 award on 31 August 2003,
as assessed by SGS Yarsley International Certification Services.
However, this achievement is merely seen as a starting point
for the company. In the long term, it will continue to adhere
to the same high standards of quality that have already earned
it the complete trust of its many satisfied customers.
