Mr. Suthikiati Chirathivat was a member of the National Legislative Assembly from 1991 to 1992 and served as Senator from 1992 to 1996. He serves on the committees of many charity and sports organisations.

He joined the Board of The Post Publishing Public Company Limited in 1982 and is currently Chairman of the Executive Committee and Acting Managing Director.

Mr. Chavalit Thanachanan

Thailand’s Deputy Minister of Finance in early 1991, Mr. Chavalit Thanachanan is the current Chairman of the Bank of Asia, Bangkok Life Assurance, the Institute of Directors, and The Post Publishing Public Company Limited. With a B.A. in Economics from the University of Manchester, Mr. Chavalit has had a long and distinguished career that began as lecturer at Srinakharinwirot University in 1954. Among several economy-related posts, he has served as Director for the Bank of Thailand’s Department of Economic Research, Manager of the Exchange Equalisation Fund, Governor of the Bank of Thailand, Director of the Bank of Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives, and Adviser to the Foreign Affairs Committee.

Mr. Chavalit served as Chairman of such notable institutions as the Industrial Finance Corporation of Thailand, The Communications Authority of Thailand, the Expressway and Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand, Securities One Public Company Limited, Srivara Real Estate Group Public Company Limited and Metro Machinery Co., Ltd. He also served a number of charitable foundations, including as Director of the Chin Sophonpanich Foundation and the Won Preuk Chalerm Phrakiat Rama 9 Foundation.

In 1985, Mr. Chavalit was awarded the Knight Grand Cross (First Class) of the Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand, and in 1987, the Knight Grand Cross (First Class) of the Most Exalted Order of the White Elephant. Mr. Chavalit was presented an honorary doctorate degree in Commerce and Accountancy from Thammasat University in 1990. That same year, he was selected as Banking and Finance Magazine’s Banker of the Year.

He joined the Board of The Post Publishing Public Company Limited in October 1997 as an Independent Director, and was elected Chairman of the Board in the same year.

Mr. Pichai Vasnasong

Mr. Pichai Vasnasong is concurrently Chairman of Samart Corporation Plc., as well as Director of the Bank of Asia Plc. He is also Academic Director at Rangsit University and at the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce.

He is involved in numerous social development organisations. He is Chairman of The Family Planning Foundation of Thailand, and Director of The Family Planning Association of Thailand, The Foundation of the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra, and the Erawan Hotel’s Brahma Foundation.

He is a graduate of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University. He has served as Consultant to a number of ministers — Minister of Foreign Affairs Gen. Siddhi Savetsila, Minister of Finance Sommai Huntrakul and Prime Minister Prem Tinsulanonda. He was a Senator between 1985 and 2000.

He joined the Board of The Post Publishing Public Company Limited in May 2000.

Dr. Vanchai Chirathivat

Dr. Vanchai Chirathivat is Chairman of the Central Group of Companies, which includes Central Department Store Co., Ltd., Central Pattana Public Company Limited, Central Plaza Hotel Co., Ltd., and Bangna Central Property Co., Ltd.

He joined the Board of The Post Publishing Public Company Limited in 1993 and is currently Honorary Chairman.

Mr. Lim Soon Huat
Member of the Executive Committee

A graduate of the National University of Malaysia, Mr. Lim Soon Huat joined the Kerry Group in 1989 and held various executive positions within the group in Singapore, China and Hong Kong, before being posted to Thailand in 1994 to oversee the group’s trading and investment activities in Thailand. These included flour milling, deep seaport & warehousing operations and sugar & molasses trading activities. He was also appointed as director of the Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok and became a board member of a number of joint ventures involving the Kerry Group in Thailand.

He is now the Group General Manager for Corporate Strategy and Business Development at Kerry Beverages Limited, based in Hong Kong.

He joined the Board of The Post Publishing Public Company Limited in 1998.

Mr. Worachai Bhicharnchitr
Member of the Executive Committee

Managing Director of Vickery & Worachai Ltd., Mr. Worachai Bhicharnchitr holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Law from Thammasat University and New York University, U.S.A., respectively. He also graduated from the National Defence College of Thailand. He has many years of experience as Legal Counsel to various local and international businesses. He also holds various social and business positions, including being Chairman and Director of many multinational companies and joint ventures in Thailand. He is a Lecturer in both undergraduate and graduate studies at the Faculty of Law, Thammasat University.

He joined the Board of The Post Publishing Public Company Limited in 1994, and is currently a member of the Executive Committee.

Mr. Thaddeus T. Beczak
Director

Mr. Thaddeus T. Beczak is Deputy Chairman of South China Morning Post (Holdings) Limited. He is also an Executive Director of Kerry Holdings, and a Director of Shangri-La Asia Limited and Kerry Properties Limited.

In November 1997, Mr. Beczak was elected as Chairman of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Listing Committee. He is also the Convenor on the Exchange’s Working Group on Corporate Governance and a member of the Advisory Committee to the Securities and Futures Commission in Hong Kong.

He was a Council Member of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong from 1997 until 2000. Prior to joining the Kerry Group, Mr. Beczak was Managing Director of J.P. Morgan Inc. and President of J.P. Morgan Securities Asia Ltd. While a banker, Mr. Beczak was a Committee Member of the Hong Kong Association of Banks and a Director of the Bank of the Philippine Islands. Mr. Beczak is an American citizen and a graduate of Georgetown University (B.S.F.S.) and Columbia University (M.B.A.). He is a member of the Board of Advisors of the School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University.

Dr. Kantathi Suphamongkhon
Independent Director

Dr. Kantathi Suphamongkhon is the Thai Trade Representative. This newly-created position is ranked equivalent to Cabinet Minister, and he travels as the Special Envoy of the Prime Minister. He is also Adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Dr. Kantathi is Executive Director and one of the founding members of the Thai Rak Thai Party.

Concurrently, Dr. Kantathi is Special Adviser to Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn of Thailand. In this role, he has accompanied Her Royal Highness on Royal trips to numerous countries around the world pertaining to medical research, the environment and various other international activities.

Dr. Kantathi was elected to the Thai House of Representatives as a Member of Parliament in 1995 and then again in 2001. In 1996, he was Adviser on Foreign Affairs to the Prime Minister.

In the more distant past, Dr. Kantathi taught international law, international relations, and international organisation, while finishing his Ph.D. in International Relations at the University of Southern California. Upon completion of his Ph.D. in 1984, he returned to Thailand and joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for nine active years. His diplomatic career began in the Ministry’s International Organizations Department, where he focused on multilateral diplomacy when Thailand was serving its two years as a member of the United Nations Security Council. Later on, Dr. Kantathi served in the Ministry’s Political Affairs Department.

Between 1988 and 1992, Dr. Kantathi represented Thailand as a diplomat at the United Nations in New York. Back in Thailand in 1992, he served as Adviser on Foreign Affairs to the Speaker of the House of Representatives in the Thai Parliament.
Dr. Kantathi served as Director of the Policy and Planning Division in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1993 to 1994.

Dr. Kantathi holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from the University of Southern California, and a Master of Arts degree in International Studies from the American University in Washington, D.C. His Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science was obtained at the University of California in Los Angeles.

He joined the Board of The Post Publishing Public Company Limited in 1994.

Mr. Kuok Khoon Ean

Mr. Kuok Khoon Ean has been with the Kuok Group since 1978 and is a Director of Kerry Holdings Ltd., and Chairman of SCMP Group Limited. Mr. Kuok graduated from Nottingham University, U.K., with a bachelor’s degree in Economics in 1977.

He joined the Board of The Post Publishing Public Company Limited in May 1999.

Mr. Attapong Kateratorn

A graduate in Marketing from Seattle Pacific University, U.S.A., Mr. Attapong Kateratorn is currently Senior Executive Director of Thai Tinplate Mfg. Co., Ltd. (TTP), Managing Director of G.S. Ceramics Co., Ltd. (GSC), Managing Director of G.S. Transport and Service Co., Ltd. (GST), Director of G.S. Intertrade Co., Ltd. (GSI), and Director of
Thai Steel Bars Co., Ltd. (TSB).

He joined the Board of The Post Publishing Public Company Limited in 1994.

Dr. Siri Ganjarerndee
Director
& Member of the Audit Committee

A Bank of Thailand scholar in 1966, Dr. Siri Ganjarerndee earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Economics (with honours) at Sydney University, and a Ph.D. at Monash. In the early 70s, while studying in Australia, he also spent a considerable amount of time teaching at Sydney University and the University of N.S.W.,
and was concurrently appointed a Research Officer at the Reserve Bank of Australia.

Back to serve the Bank of Thailand in 1975, he worked through the rank and file of the organisation, until his final position as Senior Assistant Governor. He also has working experience as an Adviser in the Executive Director’s Office of the International Monetary Fund in Washington. The nature of his work has required him to participate frequently in major international forums. He was appointed Chairman and Vice Chairman of Dulwich International College and The Thai Vegetable Oil Public Company Limited, respectively, in the year 2000. For 2002-2003, he has also been appointed as Acting President and President of Thai Military Bank.
He joined the Board of The Post Publishing Public Company Limited in May 1999.

Mr. Suthichai Chirathivat

Executive Chairman of the Central Group of Companies, comprising retail corporation, real estate development, garment manufacturing, hotels and fast-food businesses, Mr. Suthichai Chirathivat is
also Director of Royal Porcelain Co., Ltd.

He joined the Board of The Post Publishing Public Company Limited in 1992 and is currently a member of the Executive Committee.

Mr. Chartsiri Sophonpanich
Director

Mr. Chartsiri Sophonpanich was appointed President of Bangkok Bank in December 1994. Mr. Chartsiri was educated in the U.S.A. at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he obtained two master’s degrees — one in Management and the other in Chemical Engineering. After working at Citibank in New York, he returned to Thailand in 1986 and held various senior management positions in Bangkok Bank, before assuming the role of President.

He is currently Chairman of the Thai Bankers’ Association, Director of The Post Publishing Public Company Limited, Director of Visa International — Asia Pacific, Director of
Thai Airways International Public Company Limited, and Director of Thai Asset Management Corporation (TAMC).

Mr. Viroj Lowhaphandu

Mr. Viroj Lowhaphandu was the former Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, and former Director-General of the Treasury Department, Revenue Department, Customs Department and Excise Department.

He is currently Chairman of the CPA Examination Sub-committee of the Ministry of Commerce, Professor at the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, Thammasat University, a member of the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce Council and Executive Council, a Board member of Bangphra Golf International Company Limited, and Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Siam Food Products Public Company Limited, Srithai Superware Public Company Limited, Don Muang Tollway Public Company Limited and The Post Publishing Public Company Limited.

Mr. Viroj joined the Board of Directors of The Post Publishing Public Company Limited in 2003 and is currently Chairman of the Audit Committee.
