The
year 2003 was another successful year for The Post Publishing's
commercial printing operations, widely known as Allied Printers.
This was made possible by the combination of aggressive sales
efforts and continuous cost-control measures.
Sales revenue
in 2003 increased by more than 10% from the previous year, indicating
a promising future for commercial printing. As revenue continued
to grow, the department managed to reduce its direct costs by
nearly 4%.
As well
as continuing to play a vital role in serving the group's publication
and printing needs, the department also generated 71% of its
total sales volume in 2003 from external printing jobs.
To those
who are familiar with the commercial printing industry in Thailand,
the name of Allied Printers has always been synonymous with
reliability, quality and good service.
Allied Printers
is now more ready to focus on possible future expansion to meet
the needs of the burgeoning Thai economy, while continuing to
emphasise production efficiency, excellence in printing quality,
prompt delivery, and customer service.
