Deep emotion in human minds

The Peninsula Plaza presents "My Sentimental Reasons", an exhibition of 20 paintings by one of Thailand's most popular artists, Sompech Wanchit, who created the new pieces based on his emotional experiences over the past year.

Through his fascinating combination of colours, light, shades and lines, his works reflect the inner feelings of the human heart: love, greed, anger, lust and fear.

Stories told from a gentle whisper from the soul, passed through winter wind and summer sun. Seeing life as a candle, lighting up our minds till the end. Never forgetting that life is short, and we must take the time to enjoy happiness along the way, before the last light of the candle is blown out forever. The artist captures all of this in his own, very individual style.
