Siam Niramit opens in Phuket

Since it opened its doors to Bangkokians and the world, Siam Niramit has earned a reputation for lifting traditional Thai performance art to glittering spectacle on another plane altogether.

The owners recently spread their wings, opening a branch in Phuket.

According to Panin Kitiparaporn, the firm's chief executive officer, this project started two years ago. Working with a budget in excess of 2 billion baht, 57 rai of land was acquired and on it a massive theatre, which can comfortably seat 1,740, was erected. Also constructed were four model villages, representing traditional rural architecture from the Kingdom's four main regions. Here, visitors can shop for gifts and souvenirs and dine in nostalgic surroundings.
