To celebrate HM the King's 85th birthday and HM the Queen's 80th birthday this year, PTT Group is holding an art exhibition entitled ''Power Of Art, Power Of Life'' comprising winning art pieces from the PTT Fine Arts Contest, which has been held annually since 1986.

The contest is one of the greatest national platforms for amateur and professional artists to show off their artistic skills through painting, sculpture, printmaking and visual arts.

Held with the aim of bringing art to those dealing with the rush of city life and to offer flashbacks to earlier times, the exhibition will showcase 48 paintings under four themes _ The King And The Queen Of Thais, Power For Life And Environment, Culture Heritage And Thai Handicrafts, and Peaceful Society With Unity.

Some of the works on show were created by formerly amateur artists, such as Vijit Aphichartkriangkrai, Jitsing Somboon, Kriangkrai Muangmoon, Pongsiri Kiddee, Somporn Taemprasit, Chote Kaewla-ied, Terdtanwa Kanama, Chamnan Prangsuk and Chumpol Akkapanthanon.

For the hard-core fans of the PTT Art Contest, the exhibition is an opportunity to be one of four successful candidates to join a trip with PTT to Italy to view world-famous paintings and sculptures by Michelangelo, Raphael and Leonardo da Vinci.

To register, send your full name via SMS to 4111919. Eligible candidates will be invited to take a writing test and interview on Aug 13 and 19.

Power Of Art, Power Of Life will be on show at the Dazzle Zone, 1st floor of CentralWorld Plaza from today to Aug 20. Call 02-201-6076.
