The Adventures of Tintin

(Premiered Dec 29)

Whether or not you're a fan of the classic comic books on which this movie is based, there's plenty of adventure here to end (or start) the year with a bang. It's not called "The Boring Life of Tintin" after all! Director Steven Spielberg utilises the technically impressive motion capture technique - which transforms human action into digital movement - to bring the escapades of Tintin (Jamie Bell) to life. Accompanied by his faithful dog Snowy, Tintin is always in search of a good story. When he discovers a map to a sunken ship, boy and dog traverse the globe in search of treasure, encountering many exciting mysteries along the way. While the graphics are a little eerie, the non-stop thrills will keep viewers hooked. Also starring Andy Serkis and Daniel Craig.
