Winehouse's last roar leaves you longing for more

'Lioness: Hidden Treasures', released posthumously, contains some unforgettable moments, but overall its lack of fresh-sounding material makes fans mourn the fact she won't create again

After the success of her multiple Grammy Award-winning 2006 album Back to Black, we all wanted to hear a new album by the soulful British artist. Alas, it was never to be. And even with the release of Lioness: Hidden Treasures, a posthumous collection of unreleased songs, we are still left wanting more.

Lioness opens with a reggae treatment of Our Day Will Come, harking back to Winehouse's 2003 jazzy debut, Frank. "Our day will come/And we'll have everything/We'll share the joy/Falling in love can bring/No one can tell me/That I'm too young to know/I love you so/And you love me," she sings with an optimism we're not used to, but it's a beautiful track nevertheless.
