Meeting point for young classical musicians

Opera Siam is opening a recreational and learning centre for Bangkok's young musicians. Located on the upper floor of the Old England Students Association on New Phetchaburi Road, the Sucharit Thamrong Music Centre (STMC) is the headquarters of Opera Siam's educational initiative.

Membership to the music centre is free for members of the Siam Sinfonietta, the youth orchestra which is also headquartered there. Membership is available to students, adults, and families for a nominal annual fee.

The STMC allows young talents to enroll in music workshops run by elite Siam Philharmonic Orchestra and to register for beginning, intermediate and advanced training in all kinds of classical instrumental music under accomplished teachers hand-picked by honorary Silpathorn artist Somtow Sucharitkul.
