A lukewarm effort from hot chelle rae

On their second outing, the US pop quartet still provide plenty of fun filled tunes, but the aptly named 'Whatever' offers little of substance
HOT CHELLE RAE/ WHATEVER
Hailing from Nashville, Tennessee, pop rock foursome Hot Chelle Rae may at first glance appear to be punk/emo rockers with a propensity for stage antics like smashing guitars and screaming into megaphones. Don't let those tattoos fool you, though; when it comes to music, the boys are far from hard core. Made up of Ryan Follese, Nash Overstreet (brother of Glee heartthrob Chord Overstreet), Ian Keaggy and Jamie Follese, Hot Chelle Rae are essentially a pop group whose targeted demographic is no different than that of Justin Bieber.
