Third-world MPV

If all you ever crave is interior functionality and cheap prices, the Avanza is the one to go for

One may be quick to point out that Toyota's new Avanza is merely an updated model of the first-generation model launched in 2004. However, the country's largest selling brand insists that its latest mini-MPV is all-new.

Despite the familiar profile and high-riding body appearance, the design cues like the lights, bumpers, fenders, C-pillars and wheels are new.

These help give the Avanza a clear distinction over the predecessor. The front end, in particular, comes in line with other B-segment Toyotas sold elsewhere like the new Yaris (not yet in Thailand) and Verso/Ractis (only Europe/Japan so far).
