'It hasn't gone soft'

The Roadster is Mini's first soft-top two-seater aimed straight at the Mazda MX-5. Should you be thrilled?

Mini is really in expansion mood. Late last year, it added the fifth model to its family in the guise of the Coupe. And just this year, it continued the streak with Roadster variation.

And you don't need to guess what the seventh Mini will be because the Brits, under the guidance of BMW, have already spilled the beans that there will be the ultra-trendy Paceman three-door SUV to come.

But the focus this week will be on the Roadster, which Life drove for the first time at the international driving trials in Portugal this month. It will be launched in Thailand at the upcoming Bangkok Motor Show in March.
