The all-new M4 is one of the most crucial products to emerge from the M division, for it marks a handful of novelties from BMW’s high-performance car arm.
The first obvious headline is the badge. Despite being a completely new moniker, the M4 has been designed to replace the M3 coupe.
Whether such a new model designation will have any detrimental effects on die-hard M3 fans remains to be seen, although BMW insists that loyalists will eventually adapt to the name change because the coupe version of the 3-series is now known as the 4-series anyway.
