The new Cube sits on a revised version of Nissan's B-platform, evolved from the outgoing Cube and today's Micra and Note.
Micra’s platform tweaked for Cube.
For the new Cube, Nissan has extended the wheelbase by 100mm to 2,530mm, widened the tracks and strengthened both front and rear architecture to give the Cube better dynamics and cope with higher driving speeds in Europe.
With the departing (2002-2008) Cube, Nissan built both two and three-row versions in Japan, but this third generation sticks to two conventional rows.
Europe will also get a different set of 1.6 petrol and 1.5 dCi diesel engines.
