On the road with Mazda's BT-50

Does the company's new pickup live up to all the claims?

These days, most pickup manufacturers make bold claims that their vehicles are very car-like to sit in and drive because they know that many customers don't actually treat them purely as workhorses.

Mazda happens to be one of those marques trying to shake off some of its commercial vehicle status with its new BT-50 pickup, which is quite a good thing because this Japanese manufacturer excels at making passenger cars.

Of course, many people would be quick to point out that those who want a car-like driving experience should simply buy a car and not a pickup.
