Ferrari, McLaren and Porsche will unveil new flagship cars featuring mind-blowing performance via electrified hybrid drivetrains

Bugatti took the world by storm seven years ago when it launched the fastest-ever car on this planet, the Veyron.

Armed with a mighty 16-cylinder engine boosted by four turbos, the Volkswagen Group-owned hypercar managed to sprint from 0-100kph in an eye-popping 2.5 seconds before going flat out to a staggering 431kph.

    All too often, in the hands of a poor driver or one that is emotionally immature, these excessively powerful and fast vehicles are a menace. Today, even most 4 cylinder car with 1/5 the power these have are fully competent for any driving situation that is not illegal, so what purpose does all that extra power serve?
