Winner Becomes Loser
The July 3 poll is predictable. Or it isn't.
A consensus among Interior Ministry officials is Pheu Thai will triumph the election. But like what Newin Chidchob predicted the other day, it will be short of 250 seats in parliament. That means a chance to form a new government will be slim or none at all, depending on whom you talk to at the ministry.
The most likely scenario is Pheu Thai will end up on the opposition bench again, despite emerging as the poll winner because key SML parties will be forced to stay away from the Thaksin-backed party when it comes to the political wheeling and dealing after July 3.
