I totally agree with Khun Sunthorn Skulpone's idea comment #13. Yes, decentralize the police department. Each province have their own police chief report directly to the provincial governor.

For Dean's comment #8: That is far and few in between good cop bad cop. You are just lucky. I call them all pig including my friend who is a cop in Bangkok.

Sanitsuda, It's all been said before, more "Pro Establishment Elite spin." You can't keep glossing over the fact that the Elite are getting better at hiding the truth from the people, by stacking the courts with people that will always support the old guard. So it is OK that the PAD people could take over both of Bangkok's airports and go unpunished? Something smells here.

"Don't Lose Heart" is a great headline for more establishment spin, Thai style.

Sanitsuda, with respect, more and more Thais can see through your cover, a cover that is day by day dividing our country. I respect your story, but can't help thinking you are representing the powerful "Bangkok Elite" from 20 years ago while the people are loosing faith in the centralised Bangkok government. What you forget is that more than half of Thailand's population live outside of Bangkok and are totally disgruntled with Thai politics hence the growing numbers of "Red shirted people." The question is will the government be as tolerant with the reds if they protest in great numbers? I doubt it.

It seems ridiculous and childish to accuse of corruption someone in this Country. Corruption is a system here and whoever has power is corrupt and briber. But we cannot set fire the house to destroy the dirts rats that infest it. Then? Do we have to suffer the presence of these rats or to give up our house? If we remove the "food" from the rats holding our clean house.. the rats will go elsewhere or will die.
